Crews were out clearing the snow from the viewing stand at the Whistler Sliding Centre Tuesday. Weather conditions has seen further disruption to schedules and fans at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The women’s snowboard cross was delayed at Cypress Mountain due to poor visibility from fog and rain, and the men’s super combined was postponed due to heavy snow to a later date at Whistler Creekside.
VANOC announced Tuesday afternoon the cancellation of 20,000 standing room spectator tickets to snowboard halfpipe, ski cross and snowboard parallel giant slalom at Cypress Mountain due to heavy warm rains.
