The annual Baby & Kids Show will invade the Winnipeg Convention Centre this weekend for the 5th year. The show for expectant parents and young families will feature an array of exhibitors, displays and toddler products and fashions. The two-day show on Saturday and Sunday will also offer informational seminars.
Among the things to see is the Hands On Fitness booth, which will give demo classes, and Salsa Babies, Salsa Tots, and the brand new Salsa Kids program run by Natasha Puspakartika of Virage Dance Co.
Local photographer Amanda Balzer of Paper doll Photography is also hoping the show stirs up some extra business for her. “I’ve been preparing by getting together new product samples and getting display images enlarged for the walls of my booth,” Balzer said in an e-mail. “With every session booked in 2010 I am donating $5 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in honour of a family member who recently passed away.” Balzer also says she’ll be offering a draw for a free session along with a 10×20 storyboard valued at $250.
Show time is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m both days. Tickets are $12.25 at Ticketmaster.
