The 2010 lineup of the CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival will be unveiled this afternoon at the Gas Station Arts Centre.
The 9th annual comedy showcase is always a huge hit, bringing in a handful of talent from across Canada for almost a week full of entertainment.
Last year’s lineup included Mike Bullard, Kevin McDonald, Kathryn Greenwood and Winnipeg’s Trevor Boris, just to name a few.
This year’s festival is promising to bring a more intimate experience and allow the comedians to really shine. A Homecoming act will also grace the stage, which the festival touts as “one of Winnipeg’s most sarcastic prodigal sons.”
The six-day festival runs from April 6-11. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.
Get a sneak preview of the expected festival guests at today’s media event (the public is also welcome) beginning at 1:30 p.m.
UPDATE: Some of this year’s lineup includes Kevin McDonald, Big Daddy Tazz, Patrick McKenna, Lorne Elliott, Cathy Jones, Derek Edwards and Mike MacDonald.
