Canada’s Ashleigh McIvor is the first Olympic gold medallist in ladies’ ski cross, thanks to a spectacular run Tuesday at Cypress Mountain.
The 26-year-old from Vancouver had to face the elements on the mountain, which brought blowing snow later in the afternoon.
Hedda Berntsen of Norway won silver and Marion Josserand of France won bronze.
