Pushing for a Greener Winnipeg at City Hall

The man responsible for the City of Winnipeg now using the term Recycling Day wants to tackle more green initiatives.

Don Woodstock (above, third from left) is urging residents to join him at City Hall at 9 a.m. Wednesday to help put recycling back on the front page of the city’s agenda.

Woodstock has been on a mission to make Winnipeg one of the greenest cities in Canada. He recently was behind the movement for the city to unanimously vote for larger automated recycling carts — 240-litres vs. 60-litres — to encourage Winnipeggers to recycle more, and throw out less.
