The second biggest lottery jackpot in Canadian history is set to be drawn on Friday.
A whopping $59 million is up for grabs from LOTTO MAX. The top prize has been growing since January 9 and has reached its cap of $50 million. When that happens, an additional nine prizes worth $1 million are drawn.
Should no one win, next week’s jackpot could set a new record exceeding $60 million.
The previous top prize winners of $50 million winners were Marie and Kirby Fontaine of Sagkeeng First Nation back in November 2009.
