How’s this for creepy — a new mobile phone app is making identifying strangers much easier than ever before. The best part? You don’t have to talk to them to find out their entire social networking history.
Recognizr (there’s no ‘e’), is a facial recognition app that allows you to point your phone’s camera at someone, which then uses the picture data to search a number of social networking sites. Based on if the person has loose privacy settings on their profiles, you’re instantly given their name, workplace, interests, and other personal information.

We haven’t tried this out ourselves yet, but if you give it a go and it works, let us know in the comment section of this post.
UPDATE: We know it’s not available on the iPhone yet, but it’s expected to be in a few weeks.
