Actor Larry Thomas will be in our city today, but you probably know him best as The Soup Nazi from “Seinfeld.” What you might not know is that Thomas is a successful comedian. Really? The Soup Nazi tells jokes? He sure does, and for the next three nights, he’ll be performing at Rumor’s Comedy Club.

The comedy club has been collecting soup recipes to commemorate his appearance from restaurants all over the city to include in a book called Winnipeg Soup du Jour. Thomas will sign all 1,000 books following his performances, which will be sold to benefit soup kitchens in Winnipeg. The price of the books has yet to be determined.
Thomas will perform tonight thru Saturday at Rumor’s, and then do a meet and greet with the audience after each show. If you can’t make it to one of his performances, he’ll be at Grant Park Shopping Centre on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
