Team Canada has picked up gold by defeating the U.S. in women’s hockey at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The ladies played a tough game against the Americans Thursday night at Canada Hockey Place, and kept up the heat until the final second.
The three-time defending gold medal champs took the game 2-0.
Marie-Philip Poulin of Beauceville, Quebec, 18, scored both goals.
Hopefully the men can do the same on Sunday, but first they must beat Slovakia Friday night.
