Team Canada almost managed to throw their stones to a top victory Friday night in the women’s curling gold medal game against Sweden.
Skip Cheryl Bernard and teammates Susan O’Connor, Carolyn Darbyshire, Cori Bartel and alternate Kristi Moore played a close game, but ultimately lost 7-6.
Kevin Martin needs to win a gold for Canada, as his team meets Norway on Saturday. Norway defeated Martin and Team Canada back in Salt Lake City during the 2002 Olympics.
