To celebrate the launch of the first print issue of Winnipeg’s newest lifestyle magazine, SANDBOX will feature local model Meaghan Waller on the cover of its inaugural issue.
Waller won “Canada’s Next Top Model” — a CTV reality television show — on July 14, 2009.
The magazine will hit newsstands on Friday, March 5, and serves to celebrate the industry talent in our city.
“The magazine harnesses the abilities of local writers, photographers, stylists, makeup artists, models, set designers, event planners and hairstylists. But most of all, SANDBOX was designed as a place for readers to tap into the true beauty of our humble city,” said Jeffrey Vallis, the magazine’s co-creator and editor.
Both Vallis and co-creator Braden Alexander dreamed up the magazine to target the city’s female population and have been hard at work for many months putting the finishing touches on the first issue.
Besides featuring Meaghan Waller in the first edition, SANDBOX will include jet-set fashion photographer Ryan Wibawa, how to obtain your dream job, the girl who beat cancer with the help of big wigs and fake eyelashes, Sara Jordan — the face of Polo Park, Winnipeg grunge-pop band Domenica and the best in spring fashion.
