The help engage the citizens of Winnipeg and raise awareness for the upcoming municipal election in the fall, the Winnipeg Citizens’ Coalition is hosting a free workshop on Wednesday, March 10 to find ways to draw attention to the next election.
“This is the next step in engaging the citizens of Winnipeg, together we can make a change at city hall” said Coalition co-chair Shaun Loney.
According to the Columbia Institute — the organizers behind the Citizens Matter! Workshop — not even one-third of people voted in the last municipal election.
The free public workshop will begin at 7 p.m. at the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP before the 10th to David Jacks at campaigns@cfsmb.ca.
