Football season doesn’t begin for several more months, but the Manitoba Bisons aren’t wasting any time in assembling their football team.
The Bisons announced two promising recruits Tuesday, which head coach Brian Dobie said were the two most sought after guys in the country. Evan Gill and Thomas Miles, both 17, will be suiting up for the Brown and Gold and come from Churchill High School where they played for the Bulldogs.
Watch:
“Both were heavily recruited by many of the top CIS football programs across the country. We are proud they have chosen to stay home and continue to represent the best of an outstanding group of recruiting class here in this province,” said Dobie. “Evan on the defensive end and Thomas as a linebacker will be the foundation for our defence to grow over the next five years in Manitoba.”
These are just the first two players, of many, to be announced by the Bisons in the coming weeks.
