Students from the University of Manitoba will attempt to produce the world’s biggest bowl of oatmeal today.
The fun times are part of Ag in the City, a three-day agriculture celebration at The Forks.
The free event invites Winnipeggers to explore ways the food industry impacts their daily lives.
Besides the Made in Manitoba Breakfast this morning where the giant bowl of oatmeal will be made, other activities include the Great Manitoba Food Fight at 12 p.m. But don’t worry, it’s not as messy as it sounds. The food fight is a competition where student teams will “pitch” their food product ideas and provide samples to a panel of judges. A mock game show called “So You Think You Can Farm” will follow at 3:30 p.m.
The event runs until Sunday.
