The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation-Prairies/NWT Region has set its fundraising goal of $85,000, which it hopes to reach in the fourth annual Batting Against Breast Cancer Slo-Pitch Tournament.
The first event in 2007 raised $33,000, and more than doubled to $70,000 in its second year. More than $80,000 was raised last year, thanks to generous donors.
All donations raised go to education, treatment and awareness programs, and help to create a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.
The tourney is set for Saturday, July 10 at Little Mountain Sportsplex.
