A new display at the Manitoba Museum will be the first in Canada to offer new cutting-edge animation technology. Ancient Seas is a dramatic new animated exhibit opening Friday at 10 a.m. and will be a permanent fixture in the Earth History Gallery.

The exhibit was created with the help of a digital production studio in Australia and will be projected on three enormous screens spanning 7.5 metres.

“As more and more people become concerned about climate change, the Ancient Seas exhibit is of great relevance,” said Dr. Graham Young, the curator in charge of the project. “This exhibit enhances people’s knowledge of the world that immediately surrounds us, so we can understand how we got to be where we are today.”
