Winnipeg woke up to the unfortunate sight of snow on Wednesday, but for snowboarders at Stony Mountain Ski Area, it was a blessing. The ski hill is reporting 8 cm of fresh snow and will hold one last weekend of winter fun (technically spring).

All six runs are currently open and have a base of 30 cm.

On Sunday, the annual Slush Cup will take place at 2 p.m., celebrating the start to Spring Break.

Even though most would like to think of warmer temperatures and less of the white stuff, the ski hill makes mention of 2010/11 season passes being on sale.
