Students Launch Campaign to Collect Grad Attire

Four Red River College students are collecting gently used grad dresses, shoes, and other formal attire for young Winnipeg women graduating from high school this spring.

Yvonne Raymond, Andrew Kress, Shelley Cook, and Sean Angus created “Soles,” a magazine about shoes and the people who wear them as part of a Creative Communications project.

With the help of Hot 103 and Fairy Grad Mother, students will collect the items for women who might not otherwise be able to afford graduation attire. As part of their campaign, appropriately called “Cinderalla Soles,” donors can stop by between 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. today to RRC’s Princess Street atrium to make a donation.

Donations can be made at the Soles Magazine booth.
