The historic domed exhibition building in Brandon will get a makeover after the province committed $500,000 to the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba on Thursday.

The building was constructed in 1913 and is also known as Display Building 2, which was part of the Dominion Fair hosted in Brandon. It is the only remaining building in Canada constructed for the Dominion Fair that was once awarded to different cities throughout Canada.

An artist’s rendering (above) shows what the building will look like once upgraded from its current state (inset).
