RCMP have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male with attempted murder in Dauphin over a shooting early Sunday morning.
Police say the incident happened at about 3:53 a.m. in a Dauphin residence.
Police found an 18-year-old male suffering from a single gunshot wound and transferred him to hospital in Dauphin. The victim has since been transported to the Health Sciences Centre, where he remains in stable condition.
The victim and suspect are both residents of Dauphin, but aren’t believed to have known each other.
The youth will appear in Dauphin court on Tuesday.
