Iowa Teen Makes Prom Dress from Gum Wrappers

An Iowa teen had a unique idea when it came to choosing her prom dress — use gum wrappers.

Elizabeth Rasmuson started collecting gum wrappers last August to make the dress, and a matching vest for her boyfriend.

The one-of-a-kind garment was inspired after Elizabeth saw someone make a dress from duct tape.

To strengthen the dress and prevent it from ripping, she also used a vinyl top coat.

If you’re curious about the kind of gum used, it was Wrigley’s 5 Gum.

Great product placement for Wrigley. Her cheque better be in the mail.
