The Winnipeg Goldeyes are looking for a few good singers. Yes, singers, not players.

The Baseball Club is holding auditions on Monday for prospective anthem singers to open up games this season. You’ll have to sing O Canada and The Star Spangled Banner a cappella on the field at Canwest Park. The seating area will be empty for the most part if that helps to calm your nerves — with the exception of friends and family of the singers.

The auditions will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Goldeyes open training camp on Tuesday, May 4 and will hold their annual open house on Saturday, May 8.

The first exhibition games of the season will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 14 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 against the defending champs from Fargo-Moorhead.
