The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is looking for volunteers who love their city and want to make sure the downtown core shines.
Earth Day is on Thursday, April 22 and the BIZ is organizing a large downtown clean-up with hundreds of volunteers.
Those wanting to help can choose to clean either the north end or south end of the downtown area.
North end cleaners will work on Main Street and are asked to meet at Thunderbird House, 715 Main Street, at 9 a.m. to register. Activities will wind up at 11 a.m.
Central and south cleaners will meet at Air Canada Park, 355 Portage Avenue, at 2 p.m. to register. Clean-up will wrap up by 4 p.m.
Volunteers will receive lunch, a t-shirt, cleaning supplies and a sense of pride.
You can also register in advance by e-mailing info@downtownwinnipegbiz.com or calling 958-4640.
