Waldo — Assiniboine Park Zoo’s beloved grizzly bear — passed away last week at the age of 36. His time at the zoo was spent being visited by thousands of people who came to see him annually.
Waldo’s popularity is evident in the video we came across of his life at the zoo.

Dr. Bob Wrigley, the zoo’s curator, tells ChrisD.ca a memorial ceremony for Waldo isn’t planned, as was held for Debby the polar bear last year. However, a new grizzly exhibit is planned for the future.
