Load up his theme music, Kevin West is returning for another season with the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
The 30-year-old outfielder from San Jose comes back to Winnipeg after spending the spring with the Reds. West has batted .300 in 188 games with 37 home runs while driving in 140 runs as a Goldeye.
West’s return puts the roster at 25 players, 13 of whom are position players.
With the signing of West, the Goldeyes traded the rights of outfielder Carlos Sosa to St. George of the Golden League in exchange for cash and a player to be named later.
Training camp opens May 4 at Canwest Park.
