Canadian astronaut Julie Payette will be honoured at the upcoming Yes She Can Award Dinner in Winnipeg.
Payette was the first Canadian to participate in an ISS assembly mission and board the International Space Station. The award recognizes outstanding women in their career who have become role models for young woman and who have gained international prominence.
The award dinner is Monday, May 3 at The Fairmont Winnipeg and is open to the public. Tickets are available by contacting Tina Alto at 784-1614 or email@example.com.
Proceeds from the night will go to support The Winnipeg Foundation to enable Balmoral Hall School to provide scholarship funding for deserving young women.
