How Would You Measure Poverty in Winnipeg?

April 21, 2010 7:38 AM | News

How do Winnipeggers measure poverty? That’s the question being asked in a new survey from the United Way’s Urban Exchange and their partners.

The United Way has been working with Peg, a system for measuring progress toward a variety of important priorities in Winnipeg — economic, environment, cultural, social and others — to develop the questionnaire.

A similar survey was conducted at around this time last year, and thousands of respondents gave their opinions on what poverty in the city means to them.

If you could change the state of Winnipeg’s poverty situation, what would you focus on, improve, make better, etc?

There are only a few days left to share your ideas. Take the online survey.

Results of the survey will be posted at a later date on MyCityMySay.ca.
