In celebration of National Volunteer Week, staff from RBC will help pack boxes at Winnipeg Harvest later today.
RBC is lending their time as part of its new Team Service Grant employee program to help out in the community and raise $1,000 for charities of their choice. Winnipeg Harvest was the lucky beneficiary this time around.
The RBC Foundation is also donating $7,500 in support of the “Kids Who Care” program at Harvest, where youth gain valuable volunteer experience and an appreciation for others in poverty and life skills.
Staff will get to work at 4:30 p.m. at the Winnipeg Harvest warehouse at 1091 Winnipeg Avenue.
To date, $72,000 has been donated to the Winnipeg food bank by the RBC Foundation.
