The two-day event at the Winnipeg Convention Centre is helping pair deserving graduating students with their dream dress and accessories. Shane Johnston of Dollar Wise Quality Cleaners estimated they had 2,000 dresses on hand — 130 of which had found homes by 3 p.m. A new grad dress usually begins at $300, and can run up to $1,000 after shoes and other items are added. These donated dresses at the “Grad Boutique” give young women a chance to look stunning. The program is currently in its second year and wraps up today.
