Rankings released Thursday by MoneySense magazine have placed both Winnipeg and Brandon on the short list of the best places to live in Canada for 2010.
179 Canadian cities and towns were evaluated with populations over 50,000. Factors this year included a city’s cultural offerings, its schools and year-round weather.
The Top 10:
- Ottawa-Gatineau
- Kingston, Ont.
- Burlington, Ont.
- Frederiction, N.B.
- Moncton, N.B.
- Repentigny, Que.
- Brandon, Man.
- Victoria, B.C.
- Winnipeg, Man.
- Levis, Que.
Ottawa placed first for their ability to weather economic storms, and was the most recession-resistant city in Canada.
