Hopefully the weather cooperates when more than 1,300 people lace up in the annual “Run at the Ridge” at Whyte Ridge School on Saturday morning. The event raises support for the Victoria General Hospital Foundation and is a great way for families to stay active together.
Over the last three years, more than $20,000 has been raised for the foundation.
The 2K race begins at 8:30 a.m., with the 5K and 10K following at 9 a.m.
Hot 103’s Ace Burpee will emcee the event, which will also include a Victoria Hospital raffle, two autographed NHL jerseys along with breakfast and snacks for all registered participants.
Whyte Ridge School is located at 400 Scurfield Blvd.
