A local charity dinner to raise money for kids in Vietnam is set for Saturday, May 8. Canadians Helping Kids in Vietnam Incorporated has worked to provide development and services to the country for the past 15 years.
The organization has helped find sponsors for over 200 Vietnamese families since it began and has raised over $100,000 for the construction of eight schools. A ninth school is currently in the process of being built. Canadians have been helping by making generous monthly donations of $20.
The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. at Kelvin High School. For ticket information call Darlene Lindsay at 955-9741.
