The City’s Youth Week officially began Saturday and will run until May 7. To recognize the young people active in the community, a week-long celebration of events are planned throughout Winnipeg.

Mayor Sam Katz will host the Mayor’s Youth Forum, a roundtable event for student representatives from high schools across the city, later today at City Hall. The first forum begins at 10 a.m. and the second is at 1 p.m.

More youth recognition events are planned to be held in June, leading up to the International Year of the Youth, commencing August 12 as proclaimed by the United Nations.

A complete list of events taking place this week is available on SamKatz.ca.
