Rally Planned at Legislature for New MS Treatment

May 5, 2010 6:38 AM | News

A rally on the grounds of the Manitoba Legislative Building will be held today by CCSVI Manitoba to lobby for access to testing and treatment for CCSVI: Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency. Other MS patients and advocacy groups will join in solidarity and rally in other parts of Canada at the same time.

Health Minister Theresa Oswald will speak during the rally as part of “CCSVI Liberation Day,” as well as Flin Flon resident Alison Dallas and Winnipegger Duncan Thornton — both of whom recently travelled to Poland to receive the Liberation treatment still unavailable in Manitoba.

The rally begins at 1 p.m.
