Water Meter Readers Begin Making Their Rounds

May 5, 2010 9:33 AM | News

City of Winnipeg water meter readers will be out today until the end of August visiting homes weekdays between 2:30 p.m. and dusk.

Meter readers only record water meter readings, and do not collect money. They wear bark blue pants or shorts, and a light blue striped shirt with a City of Winnipeg Water and Waste logo over the pocket.

All readers have photo identification and carry a hand-held computer.

Having your meter read regularly prevents estimated bills.

Residents requiring more information can call 986-2455 or e-mail waterbill@winnipeg.ca.

Fun fact of the day: The Water and Waste Department has its own Facebook page.
