The City of Winnipeg is sponsoring a one-day compost bin sale next Saturday, May 15.
The Earth Machine compost bin will be sold at a reduced price of $30 (valued at $100) and will be available at the following locations rain or shine:
Garden City Shopping Centre — parking lot along Kingsbury Ave. behind Canadian Tire
Polo Park Shopping Centre — parking lot along St. James St. across from The Bay
Kildonan Place Shopping Centre — parking lot along Regent Ave.
St. Vital Centennial Arena — 580 St. Anne’s Road at Meadowood Dr., parking lot
The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or while quantities last.
Other items available for purchase are 208-litre rain barrels for $50, compost turners for $15 and kitchen scrap pails for $7.
Composting experts from Resource Conservation Manitoba will be at each location to answer questions.
Major credit cards, debit cards or cheques preferred. All sales are final.
