256 athletes from across Manitoba will compete in the 2010 Provincial High School Badminton Championships this weekend.
Maples Collegiate is hosting the two-day event today and Saturday, as students compete for the title of provincial champion in the boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, girls doubles and mixed doubles categories.
The strong contenders this year are College Louis Riel, St. Jean Baptiste, Carman, Vincent Massey, Miles MacDonell and Maples.
Final rounds will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Maples Gym.
Updated results during the championships will be posted online.
