The call for entries has been made in the 2010 Rogers and Manitoba Film & Music $15,000 Pitch. The competition for emerging and established producers, writers and directors, will be held during the Gimli Film Festival, Saturday, July 24 at the Gimli Theatre.
In a live pitch environment, participants have three minutes to pitch their project to a panel of industry professionals and audience members. Following each pitch the panel will have seven minutes to offer feedback and ask questions. The panel will then deliberate and decide who walks away with the $15,000 prize.
All genres of entries are being accepted, from documentaries, feature films, series and dramas, to comedies and transmedia.
Contest organizers outline that originality and a compelling story are key.
The deadline for digital application packages is 5 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2010. Finalists will be notified by July 5.
Application details and fees are available by visiting the On Screen Manitoba website.
