Winnipeg police fatally shot a man in the West Broadway area Sunday morning after responding to a break and enter.
Officers were called to the area of Langside Street and Westminster Avenue (above) just before 9 a.m.
Police say the man became involved in a confrontation with them, and that’s when they opened fire. The suspect later died in hospital and has been identified as 42-year-old Lance Trevor Muir.
Langside between Westminster and Broadway was closed to all traffic while police investigated.
