After a successful run in Winnipeg during the fall of 2009, the British Artiques Roadshow is returning to the city next week.
The team of internationally renowned expert antique appraisers are returning for a tour stop at Portage Place Shopping Centre.
Fine art expert David Freeman and Canada’s doyen of antiques Maureen Wickham will be on hand once again to appraise family heirlooms and help solve some of the mysteries and legends surrounding them — including whether they’re worth anything. In their tours across Canada to date, the British Artiques team has uncovered a road of riches with total values nearing sixty million dollars.
Appointments for appraisals must be pre-booked through the mall’s Customer Service desk.
The appraisal of art, antiques and collectibles will take place in Edmonton Court from Saturday, May 22 to Monday, May 24 between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Other Canadian stops on the tour include Toronto, Peterborough, Barrie, and Edmonton.
