A fire tore through the University College of the North in The Pas Wednesday evening.

RCMP report students and staff in the building evacuated shortly before 6 p.m. uninjured, as crews quickly contained the blaze.

The fire is believed to have started on the roof.

The cause remains under investigation, but is not considered suspicious.

Damage is estimated at less than $100,000.
