Calling all unsigned Winnipeg rock bands. The 2010 River City Rocks Band Search begins Tuesday, June 1, as radio station Power 97 hunts for the best local indie bands in the city.
Among the prizes up for grabs is air play on Power 97 all summer long and an upcoming concert appearance for the big rock station.
Fans will decide the top 20 bands by voting once per day for the entire month at power97.supernova.com. A judging panel will narrow the list down to four bands and from there weed out the competition to just one.
The contest is open to all Manitoba bands that have never been signed to a major label.
