The cause of death isn’t being released at this time.

A male youth from Melita was arrested earlier this morning, but no charges have been laid.

RCMP from a number of detachments continue to investigate.

Melita is located about 330 km southwest of Winnipeg.

UPDATE: May 20 — Police have charged a 15-year-old youth from Melita with manslaughter. The cause of death has been attributed to head trauma. Both the victim and the youth knew each other.
