As you hit the road later today for the May long weekend — and if you happen to own a boat — consider giving your watercraft an inspection before going on the highway. These photos were shot in September near the north Perimeter Highway and Main Street when a boat slid off its trailer. Water can get in the bearings on the trailer and cause all sorts of problems when you’re likely far from home, or the nearest repair facility.
It’s also still Canada Road Safety Week, as law enforcement agencies are conducting check stops across the province.
