As you get back into your normal routine on Tuesday after a long weekend, consider the following traffic note during your morning commute.

Work on the northbound lanes of the West Perimeter Highway near Saskatchewan Avenue will result in a lane closure on the highway beginning in the morning.

Crews will be doing work as part of an improvement project in the area.

The traffic lights at the Perimeter and Saskatchewan will be adjusted to alleviate traffic delays and benefit motorists on the highway, particularly during morning and late afternoon rush hour.

The same type of work will start Thursday, May 27 on the Perimeter Highway at Highway 59 and also on the Perimeter Highway to just past Highway 6 on both westbound and eastbound lanes. All of the lanes will later be repaved.

Reduced speed will be in place in the construction zone and motorists are reminded to use caution when passing construction workers. Police may also be present to target speeders.
