Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet is embarking on an overseas tour in celebration of its 70th anniversary.
The RWB will leave Winnipeg October 9 and perform in Tel Aviv, Israel October 14, 15, 16 as the first stop on their tour.
“Touring is at the core of the RWB’s success,” said Artistic Director André Lewis. “It’s deeply engrained [sic] in our character. We are thrilled to bring our energy and style overseas and to once again perform in Israel, after being away for three decades. This tour is very much a platform to enhance and reinvigorate our reputation internationally. We embrace our role as ambassadors for Manitoba and Canada.”

During its 70-year history, the RWB has toured in no less than 573 cities in 44 countries. It’s also the first Canadian ballet company to perform in Jordan.
