Speed and alcohol are being blamed as factors in a fatal single-vehicle rollover in the RM of Dufferin.
RCMP say a 2008 Ford truck was travelling down a wet gravel road at about 10 p.m. Friday when it slid off the roadway and rolled.
The 68-year-old male passenger from the RM of Dufferin was pronounced dead at the scene. The 37-year-old male driver from Winnipeg — believed to be the son of the victim — has been charged with impaired driving causing death. He will make his first court appearance in Carman on July 7.
No other injuries were reported.
Police continue to investigate and won’t release further information until the next of kin is notified.
