The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after an aircraft made an emergency landing Friday morning on Highway 391.
RCMP say the Kelsey Dam-bound aircraft’s right engine failed when it landed approximately 22 km northwest of Thompson at about 10:50 a.m. All five passengers on board, along with the pilot, were not injured when they safely landed on the highway. No damage to the aircraft was sustained.
The pilot attempted to reach Thompson airport, but was forced to land before then.
The aircraft was flying from Laurie River, located north of Pukatawagan, at the time.
