Scheduled routine maintenance at Fort Rouge Leisure Centre may force short term closures of parts of the facility between now and October.

The City of Winnipeg said Tuesday the maintenance work includes upgrades to the facility’s lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The primary areas impacted by this planned work will be the multipurpose room, auditorium and weight room.

Work is currently underway and is expected to be completed by October 2010, but may have minimal impact on program groups and other individuals who use the Leisure Centre’s recreation space outside of the after hours construction.

Planned closures will be posted at the Leisure Centre, 625 Osborne Street, and on the city’s website at Winnipeg.ca.
