The made-in-Winnipeg television series “Less Than Kind” will be returning to TV screens for another season.

The 3rd season of the show was announced Monday at the Banff World Television Festival by Astral-owned The Movie Network and Corus Entertainment-owned Movie Central. The series’ originally home was on Citytv, before being picked up for season 2 to be broadcast to a larger audience on HBO Canada.

The half-hour award-winning comedy is set to start production this September under Toronto-based Breakthrough Film & Television and Winnipeg-based Buffalo Gal Pictures.

Season 3 will premiere on HBO Canada in early 2011 starring viewers’ favourites Maury Chaykin, Jesse Camacho, Wendel Meldrum, Benjamin Arthur and Nancy Sorel.
